Friendship Senior Options is proud to announce that Briarwood Healthcare Centers at both of its senior living communities—GreenFields of Geneva and Friendship Village of Schaumburg—have received the highly esteemed five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
CMS created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help older adults, their families, and caregivers compare skilled nursing providers. This system evaluates health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. Of the more than 16,000 nursing homes evaluated, only 25% receive the highest five-star designation.
“Our entire organization is committed to providing the best quality care possible, and this honor clearly reflects our dedication. Earning the five-star rating demands across-the-board attention to service by every team member, and we’re proud that our efforts are successful and have been recognized,” said Tony Rizzato, the administrator at Briarwood Healthcare of Greenfields.
In addition to ranking among the elite in terms of CMS quality measures, Briarwood Healthcare Centers at both GreenFields and Friendship Village have earned and maintained their CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) Accreditation. This completely voluntary adherence to more than 1,200 rigorous national and international quality standards is an official testament to Friendship Senior Options’ commitment to excellence.
Friendship Senior Options is the not-for-profit organization that sponsors GreenFields and Friendship Village, two of the Chicago area’s leading Life Plan Communities.
