They are treasures within a treasure.
The town of Geneva is recognized as one of the best cities in which to live, with its abundant shopping, dining, and cultural destinations in a charming location along the Fox River. There’s truly something for everyone, whether it’s a bustling downtown hub, quiet open spaces, hiking paths, historical markers, and more.
Within this treasure of a town are the businesses, organizations and artisans helping to make Geneva what it is. These are the treasures within Geneva. And so it is with excitement that GreenFields of Geneva senior living community has introduced its Gems of Geneva program.
The program brings some distinctive products and services to GreenFields for the residents to enjoy. Two or three times each month, GreenFields hosts popular purveyors of food, beverage, art, and clothing onto the beautiful campus. Thus far, residents have enjoyed wine tasting with Geneva Wine Cellars, decadent delights from Grahams Chocolates, gourmet popcorn from Kernel’s, margaritas from Del Barrio Mezcaleria, treats from Cocoa Bean, fresh baked goods from Hahn’s Bakery, and fashions from Chicos.
Greenfields is also forging strong relationships with area schools, Geneva Public Library, Geneva Center for the Arts, and the Kane County Sheriff Department. “We look forward to strengthening existing relationships, forming new ones, and enjoying all that Geneva has to offer,” said Karen Tomko, Community Engagement Manager.
On the flip side, residents from GreenFields are increasingly enjoying their excursions into Geneva to visit the businesses that have been hosted. “This program is introducing some of Geneva’s gems to residents while reminding others of the destinations they already enjoy,” said Karen.
