Glamour and Springtime at GreenFields

They’re bringing a touch of glamour and springtime into the community each week. GreenFields of Geneva’s flower arranging committee has started creating fresh flower arrangements to grace the tables in the senior living community’s Bistro.

Karen Tomko, Community Engagement Manager, said, “We started this project because the residents love fresh flowers on the tables. I thought this would be a great way for residents to make a beautiful difference in our community while also having fun social time.” Furthermore, fresh flowers are reported to increase happiness and help reduce anxiety and stress.

Tomko said that one of the committee members worked in floral design at Planters Pallet, so is especially helpful. Each week, GreenFields is purchasing bunches of flowers from area stores.

The flower arranging committee was justifiably proud of their first effort, and residents appreciate the results!
