GreenFields of Geneva Celebrates Its Anniversary

It was a celebratory ‘trip around the world’ as GreenFields of Geneva commemorated its 11th anniversary. Residents of the senior living community enjoyed a week of special events with an international theme, as they hosted Dave DiNaso’s Traveling World of Reptiles with special guests that included a six-foot python; Olinda Chang, who presented Chinese history, dancing, and karate moves; and Irish dancers from Bentley’s Academy of Dance. One Hawaii-themed day included pineapple and coconut bowling, a flamingo ring toss, a sponge relay race, and squirt gun games. The culmination of the celebration had a virtual voyage to France, with Geneva Wine Cellar coming onsite with a wine tasting. Special appetizers were served.

“The residents really enjoyed the number and variety of fun events throughout the week. Kaitlyn Melendy, our life enrichment manager, brought new and different events to our residents for our week-long celebration,” said Tony Madl, executive director.
